Course Summary

These classes are especially suited for those with chronic pain, arthritis or MSK conditions and may help you manage your pain, stretch and relax. Feel Better Bradford is a very friendly Versus Arthritis group that offers support to all. A health form will be completed on booking to ensure that there are options to suit you.

Sitting and standing options are given for all postures, making it accessible for all.
We start each class with mindfulness, followed by some yoga exercises which also incorporate elements that are similar to Tai Chi, and then finishes with relaxation and a short discussion of topics of interest such as nutrition to help with chronic pain – or just a general group support chat. This is a difficult time for many people and if you find yourself dealing with anger, stress, frustration and feelings of hopelessness then we think these classes can help - stress and health issues can go hand in hand.

For the on-line classes, you will not need any fancy equipment, ideally a firm chair such as a dining room or office chair, a couple of hard back books (or yoga blocks if you have them) and a couple of cushions.

These sessions are supported by funding from Affinity Care Community Partnerships to provide subsidised places for those that need them (no questions will be asked).  We only have a limited amount of funding so we ask you to only use subsidised places if you need them.
For those that are able, a four-week subsidised pass can be purchased at the following discretionary tiered rates:
-£37.50 for 4 weeks (£7.50 per week + buy a week for someone else)
-£30 for 4 weeks (£7.50 per week)
-£20 for 4 weeks (£5 per week)
-£12 for 4 weeks  (£3 per week)
 -Free Pass
Purchasing any of the above passes supports the sustainability of these sessions and will allow them to continue beyond the scope of the initial funding award.
If you would like to book a second class, this will be £7.50 a session.

The session includes a weekly video of the class you can either catch up if you miss a class or you can practice the lesson as many times as you like during the week. Along with a some free online resources to help you continue practicing at home.

I am a self-confessed movement geek. I love exploring how the body moves and how powerful the connection between how we think and move is. Movement has always been a big part of my life, I grew up doing a lot of sport and competing at an international level. In 2006 I was diagnosed with ME/CFS, and determined to keep movement in my life I improved my health, energy levels and quality of life through yoga and nutrition. I went on to qualify as a yoga teacher and a nutritionist. I now specialise in back care and pain management through movement.
